FAQs
1. What is microneedling?
Microneedling is a cosmetic treatment that uses micro-needles to stimulate skin regeneration. It naturally activates production of collagen and elastin, giving a firmer, smoother, more radiant complexion.
2. Does microneedling hurt?
Most clients describe the sensation as a light tingling. For added comfort, a numbing cream may be applied before the treatment.
3. How many sessions are needed?
Results are visible from the first session, but a course of 3 to 6 sessions, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, is generally recommended for optimal and lasting results.
4. What results can I expect?
You can expect more luminous, firmer, and better-hydrated skin, with visible reduction of acne scars, fine lines, enlarged pores, and pigmented spots.
5. Are there any side effects?
Light redness and a feeling of warmth may appear in the first few days. This is a normal reaction of the regeneration process and disappears quickly.
6. How is the microneedling procedure carried out?
After a thorough cleansing of the skin, a numbing cream may be applied for maximum comfort if needed. Then the microneedling device gently passes over the treatment area, creating micro-perforations that stimulate skin regeneration. The treatment ends with application of suitable soothing serums or a mask. The session lasts about 45 to 60 minutes.
7. How long is the recovery?
Most clients no longer have red skin by the next day. However, the skin may be red for a few days — 5 to 7. Results continue improving in the following weeks.
8. Can I return to work after my session?
Yes, absolutely! Most clients resume their activities the next day, following the post-treatment care advice.
9. Is microneedling safe?
Yes, when performed by a qualified professional with sterile equipment. Your safety and comfort are our priority.
10. Are microneedling results permanent?
You’ll have more luminous, firmer, better-hydrated skin, with visible reduction of acne scars, fine lines, enlarged pores, and pigmented spots.
11. What is the cost of microneedling?
Prices vary according to the treated area and the number of sessions needed. A facial session is currently between $180 and $400. Please consult the price list.
12. Is microneedling effective for darker skin tones?
Yes! Unlike some cosmetic treatments, microneedling is suitable for all skin types and colors, including darker skin tones, without risk of depigmentation.
Microneedling is not recommended if:
you are pregnant
you have an immune system that reacts easily OR is weakened, if you have an ACTIVE cold sore, or an inactive cold sore:
you get cold sores easily at every moment of stress or weakened immunity,
you have inflammatory skin (acne) that covers 50% of the face.
